Covid 19 and Summer Camp
Thank you for your patience as we navigate through the recent changes in how businesses operate in the State of Alaska. Our goal this summer is to provide the safest environment possible for your children.

We already have the best student teacher ration at 8-10

All our classes are outside.

We do not require kids to wear masks, they are however welcome to wear them if they wish to. If they choose to wear a mask they must keep it on at all times and not play with the mask or discard it anywhere outside on the farm property.

We have done several test runs with masks and have found that the usage of masks by children that are walking fast paced and or running around playing with the horses creates some challenges for kids. Some kids tolerate the physical activity and restrictions breathing better than others. But many kids find the need to remove the mask to breath. The constant handling of the mask then presents its own health issues.

We have modeled our covid response and policy after the matsu School District. In the event that your camp week must close due to a covid related restriction or exposure all safety protocols and notifications will be followed. Your tuition will be applied to the next safe and available camp date that meets your schedule. Or you can apply the tuition to any of our party packages.

Horse Lessons with Saviona: Given that all our classes are completly outside, we are asking parents this year to be patient, and understanding if rescheduling is needed in the event weather does not permit any specific class to occur. We do have covered areas outside for use during slightly rainy weather, however if there is a down pour, we reserve the right to reschedule any given class to a better suited time for all students. In such cases you may be grouped into a different group of 3-5 students on a seperate day or offered an independant private lesson if that better suits your schedule.

Our summer camp is closed on weekends. We are open Monday-Friday 9:30am-2:30pm by phone. Camp is physically open to campers Monday-Friday June1-June12 from 9:30am-3pm. While we understand that we now live in an instant contact and social media directed atmosphere we ask that you be patient and understanding with our teachers and staff members and please remember that they too have families and lives away from work just as you do. Most of the time we can respond to text messages, facebook messages and calls on the weekends and after hours but that is not always the case. Thanks so much for being kind and gracious and understanding that we are people too.

**Please only make your selection when you are ready. Due to the limited space in each camp week we can not offer refunds once you have purchased your week at camp. We ask families to be honest and ethical and understand that once you have chosen to attend camp we are relying on that income to feed our family of both people and critters. If you are unsure about attending camp please make your other scheduling arrangements first before scheduling with us. We do understand that unforeseen family situations of severe illness and death do occur. In these events we can refund most of your camp tuition. A $160 deposit will be retained. In the event that your camp week that you are receiving a refund on reaches 12 kids or more we will also return the $160 deposit.** We do not give refunds of any kind in situations of which you have simply changed your mind.
